Saturday 22nd March
11am-1pm – Waterlow Park kitchen Garden
2pm-4pm – Highgate Library Civic & Cultural Centre, Croftdown Road N19 5DJ
Come and celebrate spring with us. We’re starting the day in the Waterlow Park Kitchen Garden with a food growing session from 11am-1pm as part of the ‘Big Dig’ celebration of London’s community food growing spaces. We’ll be at the plot we started with kids and parents from Brookfield primary school.
Then from 2pm-4pm we’re holding our third annual Seedy Saturday at Highgate Library. There will be a seed and plant swap, gardener’s question time with Master Gardener Anita Gracie, an inspiring talk from the founders of the Green Peppers Orchard & Forest Garden, started on the Maiden Lane Estate in Camden, and a seed-themed cake stall. There will also be the chance for children to join in planting wildflowers in our new biodiversity project in Highgate Newtown.
Please bring along seeds and plants to swap and cakes for our stall.
